Episode #34 – Noir-ation
Because, when you’re doing a detective story, it seems inevitable that you’ll break out the rubbish pseudo-noir pseudo-Frank Miller pseudo-entertaining noir narration boxes. But here they are in all their glory, along with a new barmaid character with an oddly cod-Shakespearean speech pattern. Honestly, sometimes these comics just get away from me.
Another thing that got away from me, in the making of this episode: I needed to cut out and use a new hat for the barmaid character, but ended up re-using a hat that I had already used for Ratson the receptionist in this episode. So that means I ended up doing this whole episode with the wrong barmaid. A rare alternate version, indeed.
Oh, and read The Weekly Hat from the weekend if you get the time, especially the RMT choose-your-own-adventure bit at the start. I enjoyed that, even if it is ridiculous.
See you on Wednesday. Vote for us! Etcetera.

Shakespeare to the fore, and a brilliant punch line! ‘O brave new world, that has such people in’t’ (The Tempest)

Thank you Mum. I thought a hat who spoke in mock-Shakespearean was just what the story needed.
